
The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay (UWGB), a comprehensive public university within the University of Wisconsin System (with 13 university campuses and 13 two-year colleges), was founded in 1965. It offers a wide range of academic programs to about 6,100 students, including foreign students from over 30 countries and areas.
UWGB is located on over 700 acres of land, including the Bay of Green Bay. UWGB promotes the interchange of ideas between the University and community through internships and continuing education and by fulfilling its role as an intellectual, economic and cultural resource. UWGB offers an environment that encourages teaching excellence and innovation, community service, and racial and ethnic diversity.
According to the American Higher Education Accreditation System, UWGB is accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (NCA), which is an accrediting organization recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
